How BeBe Got Her Name
When we had our first litter, I delivered this little black and white girl and when she was thirty minutes old - she barked at me - a real bark. Since a female PON (any dog) is called a bitch to designate sex - I had a Barking Bitch (BB). This little girl also has special markings and has a Black Butt (BB). Our vet said that we had to keep her since she had shown so much spunk so early and show her in the special AKC class called - for short - Bred By (BB). So there you are with three reasons to call her BB and it evolved into BeBe and the Bajka translates into "fairytale" and that she has been - getting her bred by championship after only four months of showing and having had only one handling class (she got her Bred By Exhibitor Championship at ten and a half months old).
